The Admiralty of Comms of the Nation in Light prepares and implements the communication policy of the State. In this capacity, the Admiralty is also responsible to inform citizens, the media and interested circles about the activities carried out by government as provided in the Nation in Light Gazette. In addition, it defines the policy with regard to the communications sector as related to other admiralties such as admiralties of education, finance, transport, foreign affairs, etc., and is responsible for external communications with various international institutions, including the facilities of the United Nations, and other nation states.

The Admiral of Comms also sits as a member of the House of Peaceful Representatives, and various other committees of government.
